Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon, bought a $68 million mansion in Indian Creek, an artificial island in Miami, Florida, known as the "Billionaire Bunker."
The property was formerly owned by Tulia Soucy de González Gorrondona, manager of MTM Star International Corp., is 2.7 acres in size and has extensive gardens, an ocean view, and a private pool, as well as a 9300-square-foot mansion with three bedrooms.
By purchasing the home built in 1965, Bezos becomes the wealthiest homeowner in Indian Creek.
It should be noted that the island has about 40 residences, plus a golf course and its own police department, and its other residents do not disappoint. Carl Icahn, Tom Brady, Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump are just some of the other millionaires who have lived in the exclusive Miami area.

Bezos is evaluating buying a neighboring lot
Despite the vast property he has just acquired, the tycoon appears willing to buy a neighboring lot that, according to Homes.com, is for sale for $85 million and includes a seven-bedroom, 14-bathroom mansion.
More properties
Bezos has been accumulating properties in recent years. In addition to the new property, the tycoon already has a residence in Medina, Washington, another in Hawaii, a mansion in Beverly Hills, a 30,000-acre ranch in Texas, and almost $100 million in real estate in various apartments in a building on Fifth Avenue in New York.
On top of all this, the tycoon recently had a $500 million superyacht built, one of the most expensive in the world.
