Jaylen Brown will be the highest paid basketball player of all time. The forward signed a supermax contract (the maximum that can be offered) with the Boston Celtics for five seasons, for which he will receive a total of $303,734,893, The Sporting News confirmed on its website.

Both parties finalized the agreement on Sunday night. He surpasses the one signed by Serbian center Nikola Jokic with the Denver Nuggets, which was for $270 million over five seasons.
The Celtics star, who averaged a career-best scoring mark last season (26.6 points per game) and career-best shooting percentage (49%), will earn $52,368,085 for the first season; $56,557,532 for the second; $60,746,979 for the third; $64,936,425 for the fourth; and $69,125,872 in the final year of his current extension.
