Hispanic singer Bad Bunny reigns supreme in 2022

Spotify, Pandora and Apple Music reveal the most listened to artists this year and all agree on one: the Puerto Rican artist.

The Puerto Rican artist Bad Bunny reigns supreme on the music scene in 2022. Spotify, Pandora and Apple Music revealed their lists of the most listened to artists and all of them coincided on one: the Hispanic singer.

In the case of Pandora and Apple Music, both platforms also agree on what is the most listened to song by the Latin singer: Me Porto Bonito.

The companies also justified the choice. Pandora said that Bad Bunny got the most places in the Pandora's Top Twenty Thumbed Tracks of 2022 and placed his track at number eight of the top songs. The list, made up of the songs most loved by listeners, was published tuesday and analyzes data as of mid-2021. However, the top is not dominated by him, but by the track Wait For U by Future feat. Drake and Tems.

Apple Music said that the most successful album on the streaming service was Bad Bunny's Un Verano Sin Ti, according to data analyzed between November 1, 2021 and October 21, 2022. The best song still eludes the Latin artist on this platform where the most listened  worldwide was Stay, by Kid Laroi and Justin Bieber. The song Me Porto Bonito occupies the ninth place in the rankings made by Apple.

The Puerto Rican singer also reigns supreme on Spotify. And this time he does it as number one, as he himself revealed in a post he shared on his Instagram profile. The platform confirmed this data by ensuring that the Hispanic artist continues to be the Top Global Artist. The video he shared in his stories, which is already circulating on several social networks, reaffirms this position for the third consecutive year.

'Time' magazine also crowns Bad Bunny

Time magazine was not far behind and also named Bad Bunny among the biggest and best of 2022. In their case, however, they did it twice. The first came in the list published on Sunday, which includes the top ten albums published in 2022. In this list, the publication affirmed that Bad Bunny's album Un Verano Sin Ti is, according to them, the best of this year. It is followed in the top 3 by Sanya Grey's 19 Masters and Beyoncé's Renaissance.

Bad Bunny's song Tití me preguntó is, for Time magazine, the best song of 2022. It is followed by another Spanish track, Delincuente, by Tokischa feat. Anuel AA and Ñengo Flow. The top 3 is closed by Part of the band, by the group 1975.
