Iranian regime executes another man accused of spying for Israel
The Iranian regime has stepped up arrests and executions in connection with the war in the Middle East that began in February and the massive anti-government protests that reached their peak in January.

Iran announced on Saturday the execution of a man accused of providing Israel's intelligence services with information on missile sites.
"The death sentence was carried out against Hossein Pedaran, who had provided the Mossad with information on missile facilities in Isfahan Province," in central Iran, judicial authorities said, without specifying when he was arrested or tried.
Pedaran was accused of "espionage and intelligence collaboration" on behalf of Israel.
The judiciary noted that the sentence had been upheld by the Supreme Court. The case had not previously been reported by the media.
Increase in arrests and executions
The Iranian regime has intensified arrests and executions in connection with the war in the Middle East that began in February and the massive anti-government protests that peaked in January.
Numerous missile sites have been bombed during the conflict.
The regime's then-supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, died at the start of the war, which was triggered by a joint attack by Israel and the United States against the Islamic Republic, which responded with retaliatory strikes against the region's oil-rich monarchies.
The province of Isfahan, home to Iranian nuclear facilities, has been one of the hardest hit by the attacks during the conflict.
In August, the judiciary announced the execution of two men accused of having "transmitted the coordinates of sensitive military and security sites" to Israel.
According to human rights organizations, Iran carries out the second-highest number of executions in the world, behind China.
