Germany: Police shoot down gunman who opened fire outside Israeli consulate in Munich

Several German policemen abduct a gunman who opened fire in the vicinity of the Israeli consulate in Munich. According to initial reports, the shooter was shot dead during the incident, reports AFP.
A video is already circulating on social networks in which a loud exchange of gunfire can be heard.
The event occurred in the early hours of Thursday morning. Authorities received a tip about an armed suspect loitering near the consulate in Munich. Upon arrival, shots were exchanged, with the shooter being the only reported victim.
This incident comes on the day marking the 52nd anniversary of the massacre perpetrated by Palestinian terrorists against several members of the Israeli team participating in the 1972 Munich Olympics. As many as 11 Israeli athletes were killed, in addition to several German policemen and five of the attackers.
