AMLO will visit the Southern border in November
The Mexican president maintained that his country has addressed the border crisis. "But they don't want to stay, they want to get to the U.S.," he said.
The president of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, reported this Friday that he will visit Baja California in November. The president will visit seven cities. He highlighted that he regularly visits the border.
The president of Mexico responded to a question in his daily press conference and said, “Yes, I'm going to be in Baja California and I'm constantly touring the country and the north. I'm going to be in Baja California for three days. We are going to be there on November 10, 11 and 12. We are going to visit the seven cities of Baja California."
The president's decision comes in light of the crisis at the border between Mexico and the United States due to the uncontrolled arrival of immigrants who are trying to cross into the U.S.
“Yesterday I met with Governor Marina del Pilar (of Baja California), and we are also going to accompany her to her report, which will be on Sunday, November 12 in Tijuana and we are constantly visiting the border and the entire country and we are addressing the immigration problem,” López Obrador said.
