Earthquake of magnitude 5.9 in Colombia

A 5.9 magnitude earthquake shook Colombia early Friday morning. The Geological Service of Colombia located the epicenter of the earthquake in Los Santos, Santander.

The ground movement was felt in several parts of the country, especially in the Andean zone, including the cities of Bogota, Medellin and Manizales. According to the Colombian Geological Service, the seismic focus was located at a depth of 159 km.

Emergency services monitor damage

For the moment, emergency services have not reported any damage or casualties as a result of the earthquake.
