Twitter's election interference may not have been limited to just censoring the content of Hunter Biden's computer in the 2020 Presidential election. They appear not even have been limited to U.S. soil. As Elon Musk acknowledged on the same network, there are suspicions that company workers may have interfered in the duel between Jair Bolsonaro and Lula da Silva, which was narrowly decided in favor of the latter.

In a tweet responding to Avi Yemini, Australia correspondent for Rebel News, Musk claims to have seen "many troubling tweets about the recent elections in Brazil." The Twitter owner noted that, if those posts "are accurate, it's possible that Twitter personnel gave preference to left wing candidates."

Eduardo Bolsonaro "Does this only happen in the US?"

Also Eduardo Bolsonaro, son of the Liberal Party candidate, wondered hours earlier whether the discoveries about manipulation to favor left-wing parties by Twitter's former management would have been limited to the US. Specifically, the parliamentarian was referring to the blocking of thousands of right-wing user accounts "at the behest of the Democratic Party." Donald Trump himself ended up seeing his profile closed. With sarcasm, Bolsonaro questioned whether "does this only happen in the United States?"

"The obvious reality"

This is not the first time Musk has acknowledged Twitter's past interference in elections around the world. Thus, in response to a user, Musk acknowledged that "The obvious reality is that Twitter has failed in trust & safety for a very long time and has interfered in elections." In the same tweet, Musk promised that "Twitter 2.0 will be far more effective, transparent and even-handed."
