For the second consecutive day, the Tampa Bay Rays dominated the New York Yankees' home field on Sunday, securing a 7-5 victory, thanks to Mexico's Jonathan Aranda, who drove in three runs.

The 26-year-old hitter from Tijuana recorded his 50th run batted in over his four seasons in Major League Baseball.

Tampa Bay’s 7-5 victory, which secured the series 2-1 at Yankee Stadium, was sparked by a run scored by American Travis Jankowski in the second inning.

In the third inning, Aranda extended the lead to 2-0 with his fifth home run of the season.

The Mexican player added to his tally in the seventh inning with a single to right field, driving in Chandler Simpson and Taylor Walls.

For the Yankees, Cody Bellinger hit a two-run homer, while All-Star Aaron Judge extended his hitting streak to 11 consecutive games.

Judge’s batting average remains the highest in the majors this season at .423, well ahead of Pete Alonso of the New York Mets, who is hitting .350.

The Mets, on the other hand, fell 6-5 to the St. Louis Cardinals, who were led by Venezuelan Willson Contreras, who drove in three runs.

The 32-year-old Puerto Cabello native belted his fourth home run of the season, a solo shot to center field in the second inning.

In his last seven games, Contreras is batting .391, with nine hits, two home runs, and seven RBIs.

Meanwhile, Dominican Willy Adames hit two home runs in the San Francisco Giants' 9-3 victory over the Colorado Rockies.

Venezuelan Germán Márquez (0-6) had another rough outing for the Rockies, pitching 4.1 innings and allowing five runs, resulting in his sixth loss of the season.

In Milwaukee, his compatriot Freddy Peralta (4-2) tossed six scoreless innings in the Brewers' 4-0 victory over the Chicago Cubs.

In Chicago, in a game shortened to seven innings due to bad weather, the White Sox defeated the Houston Astros 5-4.

Venezuelan Lenyn Sosa and Cubans Luis Robert Jr. and Edgar Quero led the White Sox, who mounted a comeback from a four-run deficit in the fifth inning.
