There is no question that the Golden State Warriors are one of the best NBA teams of the 21st century. This Sunday, the San Francisco-based franchise clinched a spot in the playoffs, which will begin on April 15, after defeating the Portland Trail Blazers 157-101. The game will go down in history for the Warriors performance on the offensive end.

The Warriors scored 55 points in the first quarter, a new record for scoring in the first 12 minutes of a game. With 12 three pointers and a 69% effective field goal percentage, the Californian team set a new NBA record.

The great architect of this milestone was Klay Thompson. The Warriors guard hit five of the team's 12 three-point shots, becoming just the third player to reach 300 three-pointers made in a single season.
