Luka Doncic became the latest athlete to be a victim of crime. The Dallas Mavericks star suffered a break-in at his home, authorities said. However, neither the player nor his family were inside at the time of the incident.

"There was no one at home at the time and, fortunately, Luka and his family are safe. Luka filed a police report and an investigation is ongoing," said Lara Beth Seager, Doncic's business representative.

The internal police report, accessed by The Dallas Morning News, reflected that thieves robbed Doncic - who is on injury leave - of jewelry and watches valued at about $30,000.

In recent months, other sports stars such as Tyler Seguin (Dallas Stars, NHL), Mike Conley (Minnesota Timberwolves, NBA), Bobby Portis (Milwaukee Bucks, NBA), Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce (Kansas City Chiefs, NFL) or Joe Burrow (Cincinnati Bengals, NFL) suffered home burglaries.
