Doug Emhoff denies assaulting ex-partner in 2012

Kamala Harris' husband, Doug Emhoff, is dodging accusations of violence against his ex-partner in 2012 and claims he never slapped her in any way as reported as of last week.

The facts were first described in an exclusive in the Daily Mail, which claims through accounts from several sources that, at a party on the sidelines of the Cannes Film Festival, Emhoff severely slapped his then-loving partner for flirting with another man.

Following these allegations, Emhoff's spokesperson assured Semafor that this information provided by the Daily Mail is not true. "Any suggestion that he would hit or has ever hit a woman is false," the representative of the second knight of the United States added.

Furthermore, the accusation of assault against his ex-partner in 2012 is not the only accusation hanging over Emhoff. This week, also through the Daily Mail, it was learned that Emhoff paid around $80,000 to pay for his mistress' abortion, in addition to her silence.

The woman was a nanny who worked for Emhoff during his first marriage. In addition to the abortion, the nanny was required to sign a confidentiality agreement, at the request of Emhoff, who wanted to ensure her silence.
