Manhunt in Maine: Authorities execute warrant on Robert R. Card's house, elite Border Patrol squad joins the search

Agents from the elite tactical unit BORTAC, part of the Border Patrol, have joined the other authorities carrying out an intense search for fugitive Robert R. Card, alleged author of the mass shooting that left at least 16 dead and 60 injured in the city of Lewiston, Maine.
The officers who are part of the elite squad have managed to solve several recent cases considered high profile. Among them: the search and discovery of the whereabouts of escaped prisoner Danelo Cavalcante, a Brazilian man sentenced to life in prison after murdering his ex-girlfriend in 2021. Likewise, they captured Francisco Oropesa, a mass shooter from Cleveland, Texas, and were also the ones who broke in and killed Salvador Ramos, murderer of 19 children and two teachers at a school in Uvalde, Texas.
