Police warn that fugitive Danelo Cavalcante has changed his physical appearance and remains in Pennsylvania
The reward for information leading to his capture increased to $20,000.
Pennsylvania police say Danelo Cavalcante has changed his physical appearance and was seen overnight Saturday in the northern area of Chester County, near Phoenixville. The 34-year-old Brazilian escaped from the Chester County jail last Thursday. The police have been trying to catch him using all available means.
"Cavalcante was operating a 2020 White Ford Transit van bearing Pennsylvania registration ZST-8818. The van has a refrigeration unit on top. Contact law enforcement if seen," Pennsylvania Police wrote.
The Pennsylvania State Police announced that there is a $20,000 reward for information leading to the capture of Danelo Cavalcante, who was sentenced to life in prison after being convicted of the first-degree murder of his ex-girlfriend in April 2021.
The police are expected to hold a news conference on Sunday to give more details on the case.
Last week several schools in the state were closed due to the dangerous immigrant on the loose. Both the Unionville-Chadds Ford School District and the Kennett Consolidated School District decided to close the schools.
