Influencer Remi Lucidi, known for climbing skyscrapers, dies after 68-story fall
The French climber shared images on his social media from the tops of structures, cranes and skyscrapers.
French influencer Remi Lucidi, 30, died after falling from the Tregunter Path skyscraper complex in Hong Kong, according to the South China Morning Post.
Authorities, who found the deceased's video camera, are investigating whether he was attempting a climb. Remi Enigma, as he calls himself on social media, often shared images from the top of tall structures, such as cranes or skyscrapers.
Local police reported that Lucidi arrived at the complex Thursday afternoon and told the security guard he was visiting a friend on the 40th floor, according to the South China Morning Post. While the guard was confirming the information, the influencer reportedly got into the elevator. Security cameras showed that he got off on the 49th floor, and was again identified on the stairs leading to the top floor. The guards reportedly found the roof's door forced open but were unable to locate Lucidi there.
An unidentified source also reportedly told the Chinese outlet that the climber was last seen banging on the 68th floor window. According to the same source, a maid called the police after discovering him on the other side of the glass.
