Among the millions of Americans who flocked to stores to shop taking advantage of Black Friday discounts was Joe Biden. The president, with less than two months to go before he leaves the White House, was spotted leaving a store with something that caught the attention of everyone around: an anti-Israel book.

Biden left the Nantucket Bookworks store, accompanied by his son Hunter Biden and other family members, with a copy of The Hundred Years' War on Palestine: A History of Settler Colonial Conquest and Resistance, 1917-2017.

The author of this book, Rashid Khalidi, is a historian of Palestinian-Lebanese descent and a professor at Columbia University. Known for his controversial views, Khalidi has described Israel as a "genocidal" state, criticized former President Donald Trump as a "mouthpiece" for Israel, and labeled Benjamin Netanyahu's government as the "most extremist" in history. Additionally, Khalidi has been linked to former President Barack Obama, a connection both have tried to downplay.

In this book, Khalidi urges Palestinians to ensure that their resistance "continues to grow." He also describes the First Intifada as "the Palestinians' first unmitigated victory.

"The First Intifada was an outstanding example of popular resistance against oppression and can be considered the first unmitigated victory of the Palestinians in the long colonial war that began in 1917," Khalidi wrote in his book.

This situation has intensified criticism of President Biden's handling of the recent Middle East conflict, which erupted following the attacks by the Hamas terrorist group on October 7.

The president has faced widespread criticism for his stance, particularly after his decision to suspend military aid to Israel in an effort to address shared threats. Additionally, Biden has criticized Prime Minister Netanyahu over Israel's counter-offensives against terrorist groups.
