“Start reporting it the right way”: Biden attacks the media for its coverage of the economy
The president showed his frustration to the press on Sunday, Christmas Eve.
Before leaving for his Christmas vacation, President Joe Biden attacked the media for its coverage of the economy.
"All good. Take a look. Start reporting it the right way," Biden told several reporters when asked about the economic outlook for 2024.
Biden's criticism of the media in recent months has been constant. Various reports from the progressive press revealed that the White House is very displeased with the coverage of "Bidenomics."
According to press reports, the president is also upset with his work team and advisors because, in his opinion, they do not know how to communicate his supposed economic "successes."
Beyond Biden's annoyance with the press, the approval numbers are categorical: most Americans consider that the country's economic direction is on the wrong track and that they were better off economically during the Trump administration.
For example, a recent Fox News Digital poll found that 14% of Americans believe Biden's economic policies benefited them.
On the other hand, 46% stated that the Democratic administration was harmful to their economy.
Likewise, according to Fox News, pessimism about the economy transcends party lines because up to 61% of Democrats join 93% of Republicans and 85% of independents in saying the economy is in bad shape.
In fact, the Democratic president is going through a severe popularity crisis, with most Americans disapproving of his performance and pointing to the economy as one of their main concerns.
