Representative James Comer, chairman of the House Oversight Committee, said during an interview with Fox News that an impeachment vote against President Joe Biden would "probably" occur in early spring of next year. Though "the sooner the better."

Comer said the committee had found many "smoking guns." He also maintained that the investigation from now on would focus on two objectives: the corruption of the Biden family and the Government's efforts to cover it up.

The exact role of the Democratic president is also a mystery that Comer said he still had to resolve, and why he had lied "at least a dozen times" to the Americans.

"If I were Hunter Biden I would want to answer our questions, if he's done nothing wrong he can go and defend his good name," said the Kentucky Republican about subpoenaing the president's son to appear before the Oversight Committee. Hunter Biden is one of 24 people Comer said the committee he leads will hear before fulfilling its mandate to make a report on the alleged irregular conduct of the president and his associates. Those who do not respond to the call will be declared in contempt, he assured.
