Former Trump campaign attorney Jenna Ellis pleaded guilty Tuesday in Fulton County Court. Ellis is the fourth of 19 co-defendants (including the former president) in the alleged election interference case. She is also the third to plead guilty to the crimes in just a week.

In a live CNN broadcast, a tearful Ellis can be seen claiming that she relied on other people to give her evidence of alleged irregularities during the presidential election between Donald Trump and Joe Biden.

"I believed that challenging the results on behalf of President Trump should be pursued in a just and legal way," Ellis told the court.

According to Axios, prosecutors recommended that Jenna Ellis serve five years of probation. Additionally, they also requested that she pay $5,000 in restitution and testify "truthfully at all future hearings involving co-defendants." "It is also recommended that Ellis serve 100 hours of community service and write an apology letter to the citizens of Georgia," the media outlet reported.

Ellis' plea comes days after Sidney Powell and Kenneth Chesebro also pleaded guilty in the same case.
