Donald Trump has been served notice of his alleged involvement in the assault on the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. The former president and Republican candidate for the 2024 elections confirmed the news through a post on his Truth Social account, stating that he will be indicted again:
Deranged Jack Smith, the prosecutor with Joe Biden’s DOJ, sent a letter (again, it was Sunday night!) stating that I am a target of the January 6th Grand Jury investigation, and giving me a very short four days to report to the grand Jury, which almost always means an Arrest and indictment.
In the post, Trump points directly to the Justice Department and believes this new subpoena is because he is "Joe Biden’s number one political opponent, who is largely dominating him in the race for the Presidency."
