Controversy surrounds LeBron James for sitting in the USC Arena while the national anthem was playing

It happened during his son Bronny's debut match.

The spotlight is once again on basketball star LeBron James. The Los Angeles Lakers player entered the USC Arena this Tuesday to see his son Brony play in his college debut.

When entering the first row of the field to find his seat, it appears that LeBron did not realize that the national anthem was playing at that moment. He walked on to the court, found his seat, and settled into it instead of standing and honoring the anthem.

LeBron's gesture, as is common in these cases, upset more than one person. The first to publish the video in which these events are seen was a journalist from Orange County. The video then sparked several reactions that criticized LeBron's gesture, who was pointed out for not removing his cap in the stadium while the Spangled Star Banner was playing.

Luca Evans, the Orange County journalist who took the video, came to LeBron's defense, and assured that the star chose that moment to take his seat in an effort to do so as discreetly as possible. With this he called for calm and to stop seeking controversy in any gesture of the basketball player.
