CNN agrees to pay Don Lemon $24.5 million as part of separation deal

The deal comes ten months after the network decided to let go of its star host.

Former CNN anchor Don Lemon will receive $24.5 million in compensation after being let go by the network. Both parties agreed on the amount, which is what they would have paid him had he finished out his contract, according to The Wrap.

This deal comes ten months after CNN ousted the anchor from its lineup. Lemon criticized CNN for not breaking the news to him in person and using his agent to convey the news, something the network denied. He worked with CNN for 17 years.

Lemon's next work adventure is titled The Don Lemon Show, a program that will begin airing on X in the near future.
