The Chesapeake Police Department has confirmed that six people were killed and four were injured in a shooting at a Chesapeake Va. Walmart. At a press conference, the spokesman for the city's security forces reported that the attacker was also found dead inside the large warehouse, with signs of having committed suicide.
The events occurred at around 10:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Police were alerted to an attack inside the large warehouse located near Battlefield Boulevard. Upon entering the store, officers found several dead and injured people, according to a Chesapeake police spokesman. Investigations point to the shooter being one of the store's managers.
Chesapeake's city council confirmed the death of the attacker via their Twitter account, and they will hold a press appearance to provide more details of the investigation at 8:00 a.m. via Twitter:
We're only a few hours into the response, so we don't have all the answers yet. Chesapeake Police continue their investigation into the active shooter event at Walmart on Sam's Circle. We do know there are multiple fatalities plus injuries and the shooter is confirmed dead.

On the other hand, Walmart expressed its condolences to the families of the victims and indicated that it is collaborating with the police to clarify the facts:
