The United States issued an ultimatum to North Korea in response to the nuclear threats of Kim Jong-Um's government against the West. The White House warned that any damage caused to Washington DC or its allies would imply the "end" of the current Asian regime.
It turns out North Korea launched a spy satellite weeks ago, which managed to photograph the White House, the Norfolk Naval Station and the Newport News Dockyard in Virginia. At the time, the Biden Administration "strongly" condemned the launch, arguing that it violated United Nations Security Council resolutions, which prohibit the Asian country from using ballistic missile technology.
"The president and his national security team are assessing the situation in close coordination with our allies and partners. We urge all countries to condemn this launch and call on [North Korea] to come to the table for serious negotiations," the White House expressed in this regard. At the same time, the North Korean regime warned that any interference with its spy satellite would be a "declaration of war."
"The end of the Kim Jong-Um regime"
The United States recalled the matter again on Saturday when it issued a statement at the second Nuclear Consultative Group (NCG) meeting, which it held together with South Korea.
There, the White House warned that "any nuclear attack by North Korea against the United States or its allies is unacceptable and will result in the end of the Kim regime ."
"NCG Principals reviewed the enhanced visibility of strategic assets to bolster extended deterrence, including the ballistic missile submarine the USS KENTUCKY port visit to Busan in July, B-52 strategic bomber flyover and landing on the Korean Peninsula in October, and joint observation of an ICBM test launch in November, as well as discussing future plans to demonstrate a strengthening of deterrence," they added in the official statement.
