Soros is the only donor to finance a Democratic PAC in Texas

The investor injected $750,000 into the Texas Majority PAC, accounting for virtually all the money the committee received in the first half of 2023.

George Soros is the only man funding a PAC that seeks to give power to Democrats in the state of Texas. According to tax data evaluated by Fox News, Soros donated $750,000 to Texas Majority PAC, just $2,000 less than the total the organization received.

The data comes from the Federal Election Commission and was released last Monday. The accounts revealed that George Soros' Democracy PAC II donated the amount to Texas Majority PAC over the first six months of 2023. The money coming from Soros is practically the total of the organization's income. Of the $752,040 it has raised, $750,000 came from the Hungarian investor's Democracy PAC II.

According to a presentation made on the Mobilize.us website, the Texas Majority PAC is a project that began this year and is focused on increasing the number of Democratic representatives in Texas and winning statewide elections. "Over the past few months, our team has been hard at work hosting listening sessions and researching what it's going to take to turn Texas Blue and we want to hear from you. Your involvement and input are key," the organization states.

A lack of information

It is not easy to find information about the organization. Several links on the website lead to their donation portal. The organization also has some job openings posted on the progressive recruitment portal Gain Power, according to what Fox was able to verify.

"Texas Majority PAC is a research and development institution dedicated to flipping Texas blue by building year-round Democratic infrastructure in the key regions of Texas," the labor ads read. "TMP invests in partners running voter engagement and turnout programs in an effort to bring their work to the scale required to win statewide office in Texas."

The next election in Texas will be in 2024 and Democrats are already preparing for that campaign. They haven't had a Democratic governor or control of the state House or Senate for quite some time. Democrats have not won a majority in the Texas legislature since 2003.

This is not the first time Soros has donated a large amount of money to Democratic Party efforts. During the 2022 midterms, he went so far as to pump $170 million into the campaigns of Democratic candidates through his Open Society Policy Center.
