This Wednesday several Democrats joined House Republicans to pass an amendment that would prevent the Department of Energy (DOE) from putting more regulations on gas stoves.
The vote on the amendment by Republican Representative Gary Palmer garnered 181 votes against and 251 in favor, 29 of which were from Democrats.
"Glad the House passed my amendment to H.R. 1 preventing DOE from banning 50% of gas stoves on the market," Palmer said after the vote.
The representative also noted that Democrats who voted against the amendment are complicit in President Joe Biden's efforts to "control" kitchen appliances.
"Despite all their words to the contrary, House Democrats are supportive of federal bureaucrats’ attempts to ban gas stoves. By voting against my amendment to prevent the Department of Energy from implementing its anti-natural gas agenda, they have shown themselves to be complicit," he said adding that Republicans are focused on empowering Americans to choose the appliances they use.

Democrats have spoken out about banning gas stoves in homes, claiming they pose a "hidden danger" because the fumes can be harmful to your health.
However, a recent analysis by Catalyst Environmental Solutions examined several government studies and concluded that there is no significant connection between respiratory illness and gas stove use.
"When it comes to indoor air quality of cooking, the main driver of health risk is what you are cooking, not the fuel that you use to cook it," said Dan Tormey, author of the report, noting that government studies also failed to separate out other factors.
