Lior Haiat exclusively tells Voz Media: South Africa's accusation against Israel before The Hague is "an event of hypocrisy"

The Israeli Foreign Ministry spokesman said that "South Africa is trying to eliminate Israel's right of self-defense and does not speak of 'the right of every country to defend its own citizens.'"

The spokesperson for the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Lior Haiat, spoke exclusively with Voz Media about the historic accusation filed by the socialist regime of South Africa against Israel before the International Court of Justice.

South Africa has asked the judges of The Hague to take precautionary and urgent measures to stop the Israeli anti-terrorist campaign in the Strip. From Jerusalem, they accuse Pretoria of functioning as "the armed legal wing" of the Hamas terrorist group, which triggered the current conflict with the massacre of last October 7, which left more than 1,200 dead and 200 hostages.

Spokesman Haiat, who has been present at the Hague sessions, described what happened there as "an event of hypocrisy" and claimed that the South African regime's accusation "eliminated Hamas from the situation in the Gaza Strip" and ignored the massacre carried out by terrorists. He also declared that South Africa does not speak of the "right of each country to defend its own citizens."

South Africa is trying to eliminate Israel's right to self-defense and wants to take us back to October 6.

"Eliminate the threat of Hamas"

Haiat also said that his government wants to completely eliminate the threat posed by Hamas terrorists: "We do not want any civilian in Gaza to die. But we do want to eliminate the threat of Hamas to the citizens of Israel."

When it comes to the international community's actions, the spokesman indicated that they expect "a firm condemnation against South Africa and Turkey and support for Israel."
