Hamas thanks Pedro Sánchez for his stance on the war, while Israel toughens its speech against the Spanish president

The Israeli Foreign Minister called the praise "shameful" and stressed that his country will not forget who is supporting the terrorist group.

The position of the resident of the Spanish government, Pedro Sánchez, regarding the conflict between Israel and Hamas, has placed him in a delicate position, marked by the gratitude of Hamas and the condemnation of Israel.

During a press conference at the Rafah crossing in Egypt, Sánchez not only condemned Israel's actions in response to Hamas' aggression but also urged the international community to make decisions regarding the recognition of the Palestinian state. As expected, these statements were welcomed by the terrorist group.

Hamas publicly praised Sánchez for his "clear and bold" stance and applauded the words given by Belgian Prime Minister Alexander De Croo at the joint press conference they gave from Egypt.

"We appreciate the clear and bold stance of the Belgian prime minister, Alexander De Croo, who rejected the destruction of Gaza and the death of civilians, and of the president of the Spanish government, Pedro Sánchez, who condemned the indiscriminate killings by the occupying state in the strip and pointed out the possibility that his country may unilaterally recognize the Palestinian state if the European Union does not take this step," Hamas expressed.

Some "shameful" congratulations

After Hamas expressed its gratitude, Israel described the gesture of congratulations to Spain and Belgium as "shameful," noting that its country will not forget its support for a "terrorist organization that holds over 200 hostages."

Israel summoned the ambassadors of Spain and Belgium

In response to the statements of the European countries, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Israel, Eli Cohen, decided to call the prime ministers of Spain and Belgium for consultation to demand explanations for their positions.

"As a result of their words their ambassadors will be invited to a harsh rebuke conversation," Cohen announced, recalling that "Israel is acting according to international law and fighting a murderous terrorist organization worse than ISIS that commits war crimes and crimes against humanity."
