A new report revealed that California Governor Gavin Newsom’s wife, Jennifer Siebel Newsom, earned about $1.4 million by charging the nation's public schools, corporations and individuals to screen her documentaries.
Open the Books, a watchdog group that discloses spending and income of individuals associated with the government, revealed that Jennifer Newsom, founder of the nonprofit organization The Representation Project, collected nearly $1.5 million in licensing fees from her films.
The organization has reportedly released four films in which Jennifer is credited as a writer and director: Miss Representation, The Mask You Live In, The Great American Lie and Fair Play. All four films promote the ideologies of gender justice and gender identity.
All of the documentaries were licensed for public schools in all 50 states across the country and included "their own lesson plans," Open The Books said.
"According to The Representation Project’s Impact Report (2011-2021), the organization’s film curricula are being used in over 5,000 schools in all fifty states. The Representation Project claims over 11,200 copies of the curricula have been distributed, reaching more than 2.6 million students," the watchdog organization reported.
Also, the group noted that tax records indicate that, since 2012, Jennifer Newsom's nonprofit has generated $1,483,001 from the exhibition of its films.
Although it is unclear exactly how much of this revenue comes from public schools, Open The Books reported that schools paid between $49 and $399 each to screen the films.
The woke ideology promoted in these films
The watchdog group also noted that Jennifer Newsom's productions being shown in schools "feature porn, radical gender ideologies," and some even show her husband Gavin Newsom.
"Children forced to watch The Representation Project films in schools are not only subjected to gender ideology, sexually explicit images and Gavin Newsom's phrases. They are given a leftist framework through which to view the world, and then encouraged to engage in social and political activism," per the Open The Book report.
