Ukraine: Councilman denotates at least three grenades at a town hall meeting
As a result of the explosion, 26 people were injured. Six are in serious condition.
The National Police of Ukraine in Zakarpatia Oblast reported that a councilman detonated at least three grenades at a town meeting. The event left at least 26 people injured. "As a result of the incident, 26 people were injured, six of whom are in serious condition," the police announced.
It was also indicated that the attacker was attended to by doctors. However, his current condition is unknown. Likewise, authorities explained that they are investigating the case.
"Today at 11:37, the '102' line received a message that one of the deputies exploded grenades in the building of the Keretsky Municipal Council of Mukachevo district during a session meeting," the police stated.
According to local media, such as Kyiv Post, the man was identified as Serhiy Batrin, a representative of the People's Servant party, founded by Ukrainian President Volodymir Zelensky.
