Goodbye to bureaucratic chaos and wasted time: Trump Administration launches America.gov

President Donald Trump officially launched America.gov, the first government tool for artificial intelligence designed to simplify and facilitate access for all citizens seeking information on the websites of federal departments and other agencies.

"Anyone who has used Grok, Gemini, or ChatGPT will instantly understand how to use America.gov. It's not complicated," Trump said.

On Tuesday, the Trump Administration launched the first phase of this tool, which brings together every single federal website on a single platform. In addition, the president signed an executive order to "ensure Federal agencies integrate with America.gov."

"America.gov is a secure, intelligent, and service-oriented single point of entry through which an individual can sign in, communicate in plain language, receive accurate answers, and, where authorized and technically available, complete government transactions without having to navigate multiple Federal agencies’ websites," the White House reported via a statement.

In this first phase, "Americans can ask any question on America.gov and get an up-to-date answer."

According to the White House, the platform will gradually gain more knowledge and become more efficient and effective to the point that, before the end of the year, citizens "will be able to complete tasks like passport renewal and Medicare enrollment on America.gov, without being sent back into a maze of websites."

How does America.gov work?

America.gov was designed to be simple so as not to complicate Americans' lives when conducting searches or completing administrative tasks—tasks to which they had, until now, devoted "billions of hours." The platform features a chatbot that, when asked a question, directs users straight to the original source.

The Trump Administration notes that it is free to use and contains no advertising. No account is required to access it. In addition, the chatbot supports three languages (English, Spanish and French), responding in the same language as the question. Finally, it includes a feature that allows users to ask questions by voice instead of typing.
