Actress Lynne Marta died at home at the age of 78. She appeared in films such as Footloose (1984), starring Kevin Bacon, and in the western Joe Kidd (1972), starring Clint Eastwood.
She was also in the cast of the series Love, American Style (1969-1974) and Starsky and Hutch (1975-1979).
A friend of the actress confirmed the news to The Hollywood Reporter, stating that Marta had been fighting cancer for some time. Her death occurs a few weeks after that of her ex-partner David Soul, with whom she coincided in the series Starsky and Hutch.
