British actor Tom Wilkinson, known for co-starring in the film The Full Monty, has died at the age of 75 at home and accompanied by his family, according to his loved ones in a public statement:

His role in The Full Monty led him to fame both within and outside of the entertainment industry, and he appeared in the cast of several films directed by filmmakers such as Oliver Stone and Christopher Nolan. He won a Golden Globe for the series John Adams - which tells the story of the former President of the United States - and was nominated twice for the Oscars for Best Actor - for In the Bedroom - and Best Supporting Actor - for Michael Clayton -.

Wilkinson appeared in successful films such as Shakespeare in Love, Batman Begins and Valkyrie, among others.
