Authorities are investigating a plane crash in the parking lot of a shopping center in Texas. According to Plano Police, the pilot died in the event.

"On Nov 21st, 2023, at appx 6:00 pm, a small plane crashed near the intersection of W Park Blvd & Midway Rd. The pilot unfortunately lost their life in the tragic accident," wrote the Plano Police on X (formerly Twitter).

The police also sent their condolences to the victim's family and maintained that the case is already under investigation by the National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration.

So far, authorities have not detailed whether there was damage to the building as a result of the accident. However, photos were shared on social media showing that the entrance to the shopping center was damaged and a car caught fire.
