"Get out of the water!": shark prompts urgent evacuation of Navarre Beach, Florida
It was loitering near the shore when bathers were alerted to its presence. In the last few days, four people have been attacked by sharks on New York beaches.
There was a close call on the beach in Florida yesterday. Many sunseekers were enjoying a sunny day at Navarre Beach when a shark was spotted a short distance from the shore. Thankfully, bathers were able to exit quickly to the shore while shouting to fellow bathers to "Get out of the water!"
The event occurred on Tuesday at the beach located in the Florida Panhandle. In the video it can be seen that it was a sizeable shark, which generated even greater panic.
Four shark attacks in New York
In recent days, New York state authorities have reported four shark attacks on beachgoers, NBC 4 New York reported later reported that the attacks occured at Quogue Village Beach, Fire Island Pines, Robert Moses and Kismet beaches. This is already equals half the total counted of reports made last summer.
The victims of the attacks are two teenagers and two adults aged 47 and 49. The latter two suffered bites of some severity to their extremities.
