Actress Susan Sarandon once again showed off her activism on Twitter by sharing a message in which she compares Italy to Cuba. According to the star of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Italy is under an authoritarian regime, while the Caribbean country has a friendly and sensitive democracy.

In the tweet, which has already been retweeted more than 3,000 times and received almost twenty thousand 'likes,' the actress highlights the new Cuban legislation on family, which recognizes same-sex marriage and allows same-sex couples to adopt children.

We do not know if Sarandon also considered the creation of concentration camps for homosexuals that were created in Cuba to be an exemplary example. At the entrance of the concentration camps, in imitation of Auschwitz, there was a sign with the slogan: "Work will make you men."

On the contrary, she criticized the democratic election of Giorgia Meloni as Italian prime minister, pointing out the presence of members of the Mussolini family in a "neo-fascist" government.

Cubans respond to the actress

It didn't take any time for people to respond to the well-known activist.

Yago replied: "That's why Cubans try to escape from their country by swimming or by raft, whilst Italy is one of the countries where immigrants go to. Fair enough, Susan.

Other users, such as Alberto Arredondo, shared a video of Cubans trying to leave the Cuban 'paradise' during a hurricane.
