Hunter Biden reaches agreement on child support for his daughter
He will give paintings to the child's mother to benefit from the proceeds of their sale. The girl will continue not to use the last name Biden.
Hunter Biden reached a child support agreement with Lunden Roberts, the mother of his child.
The president's son had asked to reduce the $20,000 monthly child support that began in 2018 after a DNA test confirmed his paternity. Roberts had even called for Biden to go to prison after he refused to comply with a court order to show his financial records.
Both parties agreed that the child will continue to receive money from her father, and although the document published on Thursday does not detail how much, it does speak of an "upward deviation."
As part of the agreement, Biden also pledged to give some of his paintings to his daughter: "The child shall select the painting which shall either be sent to the child or sent to a gallery designated by Lunden Roberts."
Another of the discussions between Biden and Roberts settled in the pact is the use of the last name. As agreed, the child will not bear the name Biden, one of the mother's demands that she has finally withdrawn.

New investigation in the House against the president's son
On the other hand, three House committees will investigate the veracity of the statement of Gary Shapley, an IRS agent who reported interference by the Justice Department while investigating potential tax violations by Joe Biden's son.
This was announced Thursday by top Republicans. House Speaker Kevin McCarthy thanked the three leaders of the committees that will investigate the case: Jim Jordan, who heads the Judiciary Committee; James Comer of the Oversight Committee; and Jason Smith of the Ways and Means Committee.
McCarthy asserted that "someone has lied," and said they would begin impeachment proceedings against Attorney General Merrick Garland if they found that he lied in denying Shapley's revelations.
The three committee chairmen involved demanded to interview Justice Department and FBI leaders to testify about "politicization and misconduct in the IRS-Hunter Biden investigation."
"Somebody is not telling the truth," Jim Jordan said, agreeing with McCarthy in an interview with Just The News. But who? "It sure doesn't look like it's the whistleblower," the Ohio Republican opined:
Lawmakers will pay special attention to U.S. Attorney Leslie Wolf, who reportedly told Shapley and another witness that they could not investigate the Biden family, no matter what evidence they had. In Jordan's words:
