Is Newsom lurking in the shadows?
Carlson unveils Democrats' interest in nominating the California governor as their presidential candidate due to Biden's ailments and fear of Kamala taking over.
Tucker Carlson unveiled moves to make Gavin Newsom the Democratic alternative to the White House. Despite the California Governor's repeated denials, saying "not on God's green earth," he went so far as to claim that Newsom's latest moves and his war against Ron DeSantis as a champion of national woke liberties, seem to indicate that he has kicked off his shadow campaign. He expressed his uncertainty about Joe Biden's age, and especially his health. He suggested that Vice President Kamala Harris would likely finish the term as president, an idea that does not exactly excite the Democratic Party.
"No one wants Kamala Harris to be president"
Carlson claimed that Democratic voters "should be a little worried," because Biden, who will be 86 at the end of his second term, has "begun that descent" from "acuity to permanent unconsciousness." In fact, the former Fox anchor stated that few believe that the current president would be able to finish his term, so the vice president would have to take over. Harris is not exactly the most popular choice at the moment, with one poll showing her as the lowest-rated vice president in history.
Newsom: "‘I get mesmerized by you, Joe Biden"
This is causing the Democratic Party to seriously look for an alternative to Biden. According to Carlson, he would have to be "as shallow, ruthless and transactional" as the president himself. According to the host, "there is only one man in modern America who fits that description. Gavin Newsom, governor of California and, perhaps not coincidentally, Joe Biden's new closest friend."
Carlson, moreover, used Newsom's words during Biden's visit to California last week to warn the president:
