Tulsi Gabbard leaves the Democratic Party, in the service of "a woke and warmongering elite"
"I call on my fellow independent-minded, common-sense Democrats to join me and leave the Democratic Party."
Tulsi Gabbard has served as a member of the House of Representatives from 2013 to 2021, and as Vice Chair of the Democratic Party for three years until 2016. And she was a candidate to lead the Democratic Party in the 2020 presidential election. She then stood out for her dialectic capacity, and for being critical of the woke branch of the party.
Now, Gabbard has decided to leave the Democratic Party, and has expressed this in a video he has shared on social networks. In it, he explains:
In his speech he only announces that he is leaving the party, not that he is going to join the Republican Party. There is at least one issue that separates him from the Republicans, and that is his defense of abortion rights. But in his statement he echoes the words of the first Republican president in history: Abraham Lincoln:
