Hillary Clinton lies: it's not easier to get a gun than to have an abortion
The former Democratic presidential candidate tried tocompare gun ownership with the supposed right to abortion. Twitter and reality itself showed that she did not tell the truth.
Hillary Clinton compared in a tweet the possibility of having an abortion to getting an assault rifle: "It shouldn't be harder to have an abortion than to get an AR-15". The comparison was met with criticism and mockery of the former senator.
Tom Fitton, president of Judicial Watch, countered by wryly wondering if Clinton wanted to make "killing a defenseless unborn human being" easier than buying a gun.
The Constitution does not protect abortion, but it does protect gun ownership
Beyond the unfortunate comparison, Clinton's tweet repeats a widespread lie from the progressive sector.
From Obama to Biden, Democrats insist on "protecting the right to abortion".A right that the Constitution does not provide for, as the Supreme Court has made clear. However, the right to bear arms is the cornerstone of the Second Amendment and also appears in the Bill of Rights.
Clinton turned to another hackneyed theme: the ease of access to guns. As a fundamental right, citizens may carry firearms, but not at any price. The reality is that, from north to south of the country, both federal and state laws impose numerous requirements for access to guns. From personal registration to criminal background checks to age limits (up to 21 in some states). Limitations that Democrats don't want to hear about when it comes to talking about abortion.
Hillary Clinton is not an isolated case, far from it. President Biden himself is on the same wavelength. In fact, he has already stated his intention to advance the abortion agenda and has declared war on the right to bear arms.
