James O'Keefe posted a video on social media reporting that Porject Veritas , the company he founded, filed another lawsuit against him. The news comes just one day after it was announced that the media outlet suspended all its operations.

O'Keefe recorded himself taking the papers, reading some details from the documents left on the door. "A lawsuit. They’re suing me. The company that I founded,” he commented.

The journalist explained that it was the United States District Court that sent him a civil court summons for a lawsuit titled "Project Veritas vs. James O’Keefe." He also indicated that the attorney representing the plaintiff is Jay M. Wolman, of Randazza Legal Group in Connecticut.

“We’re not sure what these attorneys have to say for themselves, participating in an effort to silence journalists and get a federal judge to issue an injunction to shut me up and to shut all of you down. It’s unclear what Randazza and Jay Wolman are thinking,” O'Keefe commented in the video.

"When I left, there was something to the effect of between six to eight million dollars cash on hand. They’ve apparently spent all of it, raising almost no money at all since they ousted me," he added.

Project Veritas first sued its founder in May, a few months after he was ousted from the company.

The end of Project Veritas

Just this week, shortly before O'Keefe reported the lawsuit, it was announced that the media outlet had suspended all operations effective immediately.

“All investigations halted as of today. CEO Hannah Giles and Jen Kiyak of Human Resources cite financial ruin as reason for additional layoffs on 9/20/23 leaving merely a handful of employees left,” reported Bobby Harr, a journalist who worked at the company.
