Twitter suspends the account that tracked Elon Musk's flights
Jack Sweeney must have foreseen this scenario as he recently decided to create several accounts on other social networks.
This Wednesday, Jack Sweeney, the 20-year-old programmer who tracks Elon Musk and Bill Gates' private jet, announced that the @ElonJet account was "suspended."
As the young man explained, the account had already been "search-banned" for several months, even before Elon Musk became the CEO of Twitter.
However, recently the account, which had more than half a million followers, was completely "suspended."
The decision has come as a surprise to both Internet users and the young man who managed the account, as Elon Musk had stated in the past that he would not terminate the user despite the fact that the information he revealed put his "personal safety at direct risk."
Twitter reported that the decision was made due to an alleged breach of community standards, which means that now only the content of the timeline can be accessed, but the ability to send or forward messages will not be available.
Sweeney has more accounts
A few days before the programmer announced his account @ElonJet's posts was suspended, he announced that his account was being restricted. Therefore, his posts were not being seen by as many users as normal.
On December 12, Sweeney posted that everything seemed to indicate that his account was no longer being affected by bans. However, it is possible that after the decisions that Twitter was making, the young man decided to expand, as he decided to create more profiles on other social networks such as Facebook, Instagram, Truth and Telegram.
This means that people can still access information on Musk's private plane routes, but for the time being, it will be through the aforementioned platforms.
There are still no further details on the reasons that led Twitter to make the decision to suspend the young man's account. However, it is expected that either Elon or the company will give more information about its decision, especially at a time when the billionaire has assured that freedom is his priority.
