Jennifer Aniston doesn't remember David Schwimmer in Uber Eats Super Bowl commercial
The commercial also features David and Victoria Beckham as well as artists Jelly Roll and Usher.
There are four days left until the Super Bowl and the big brands know it. Many companies are taking advantage of the sporting event's audience to advertise, paying up to $7 million for a 30-second spot.
One of those companies is Uber Eats, which also brought together two 90s sitcom stars: Ross and Rachel. Actors Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer appear in a commercial in which Rachel forgets about her famous co-star Ross.
After Aniston "forgets" him, the company's slogan appears: "Whatever you forget, remember Uber Eats." Aniston seems to have completely forgotten about her role in "Friends," the legendary series from the 90s. However, there is a compelling reason: you need to forget parts of your life so you can make room to remember everything the delivery company offers.
Uber Eats created a fun commercial where Jennifer Aniston tries to remember her co-star, David Schwimmer. It all starts with Aniston's production assistant handing her a bag of groceries.
Surprised, she says she didn't know the company offered so much variety: "I didn’t know you can get all this stuff on Uber Eats. I gotta remember that." The actress tells her assistant the trick to remembering said information: "Well you know what they say, in order to remember something, you got to forget something else. Make a little room.”
This recommendation quickly backfires when David Schwimmer, who played Ross on "Friends," appears and tries to give her a hug, making her immediately uncomfortable. She claims that she doesn't know who he is. The actor does his best to jog her memory: "We worked together for ten years." She admits her forgetfulness but does not believe him as she walks away from Schwimmer who is completely stunned: "Like I’d forget ten years of my life," she says.
Victoria and David Beckham, Jelly Roll and Usher star in the Uber Eats commercial
Jennifer Anniston and David Schwimmer are not the only well-known faces that Uber Eats included in its commercial. David and Victoria Beckham also appear in the ad. The couple tries to remember the name of Victoria Beckham's British pop group while wearing t-shirts that also have messages reminding them of other notable events in their lives.
The scenes are interspersed with others featuring the musician Jelly Roll who looks at himself in the mirror and is surprised to see his face is covered in multiple tattoos. Finally, the halftime star of the sporting event, Usher, also made a small cameo, this time mentioning the Super Bowl.
