The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) detained Ben Cohen, co-founder of Ben & Jerry's, for displaying defiant behavior in front of the Department of Justice (DOJ) building while protesting the release of WikiLeaks creator Julian Assange, who is being held in Britain's Belmarsh Prison.
Cohen's arrest comes two days after Ben & Jerry's released an unpatriotic statement on Independence Day, America's most important holiday.
In the video of the arrest, Cohen is seen holding a banner that read "free Assange." There was also a sign that read "freedom of the press," which Cohen set on fire.
Then, due to the cocky attitude of the co-founder of Ben & Jerry's, the authorities lifted him off the ground and put him in handcuffs before they put him in the police car. Another woman was also arrested.
