The AOC show: pro-abortion demonstration and anti-police fake

Far-left Democrat pretends to be handcuffed during her participation in an anti-Supreme Court rally.

The far-left Congresswoman Alexandria Ocaso-Cortez has starred in the latest Democratic attack against the country's institutions. In this case, it has been against the Supreme Court and with a show included. The New York Democrat pretended to be handcuffed after being escorted by the police during a pro-abortion protest.

AOC joined other House Democrats at a pro-abortion rally against Roe v. Wade. During one point in the protest, Capitol Police warned the protesters that they could not block traffic. Faced with their contempt, the officers proceeded to arrest the agitators, among whom were several Democratic representatives.

AOC show: pretending to be handcuffed

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez chose that moment of the arrests  to star in her minute of fame. The congresswoman took advantage of the police escort to pretend that she had been handcuffed. She advanced a few meters with her hands behind her back but made the mistake of letting herself be carried away by joy and raising a fist in the air, confirming the absence of handcuffs and provoking mockery on social networks.

Along with AOC, several Democratic congresswomen joined in the performance. Another video shows Ilhan Omar, a Democrat from Minnesota, also pretending to be handcuffed during the protest. Others, such as Alma Adams, a North Carolina Democrat, claimed to have been detained by officers. Capitol Police speak of 17 congressmen detained but do not give names of those arrested.

Passion for attention

It is not the first time that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez goes to a 'hot' spot with the intention of being in the photo. Almost as soon as her top-level political career got underway, images of her visit to a border crossing soon surfaced. The Democratic representative of New York (at the time a candidate) was shedding tears at the fence of what appeared to be a detention center. Even then, many analysts questioned AOC's intentions and veracity.

These criticisms are motivated by an excessive eagerness for prominence of a politician who knows how to handle social networks well. A few days ago, the socialist congresswoman starred in a video in which she claimed that painting her nails was an act of rebellion. Now she wanted to go a step further by pretending to be handcuffed. We will be keeping an eye on her Instagram so we do not miss the show.
