An anarchist camp seeks funding for recruiting children

Inspired by the Black Panthers, they have already raised $2,500 to indoctrinate minors about "gentrification, gender or student activism"

Budding Roses, an anarchist organization, seeks funding for a summer camp for children. The promoters present to parents in Portland, Oregon, what they call a "free, radical social justice camp". To that end, they are recruiting school-age children in grades four through eight.

The organization, which is part of the anarchist 'Black Rose' foundation, has opened a donation form to resume their in-person camps. They are asking parents for money to send their children to do activities on "racism, gentrification, student activism, gender, climate change and mental health", their own website reads.

The Budding Roses movement acknowledges inspiration from socialist movements such as the Black Panthers. It is supported by the local government, which recently awarded it the 'Spirit of Portland' award a few years ago. As reported by PJ Media, the city has authorized the group to hold its camp in a public park, supporting with taxpayers' money "a new generation of terrorists".

Children's activities: abolition of police and tear gas

Among the resources listed on the anarchist camp's website are a book of protests and chants, a "tear gas guide for Portlanders", a "guided tour of radical Portland", or activities related to abolishing the police or the radical Black Lives Matter movement. Activist-related materials aimed at children as young as ten years old.

This year's camp will be from July 25 to August 5, from 9:00am to 3:00pm, Monday through Friday. The camp is free and includes breakfast, lunch and all supplies so that more young people can get closer to radicalism without financial strain.
