200 humanitarian aid trucks enter Gaza through the Rafah crossing

Dozens of these vehicles and six ambulances will head to the north of the Strip, including to areas that have not been evacuated.

The Israeli Defense Forces confirmed that 200 humanitarian aid trucks and several ambulances were sent into Gaza through the Rafah crossing. Soldiers previously inspected the vehicles, and some of them will head to the north of the Strip. According to army spokespeople, the trucks will deliver food, water, shelter materials and medical supplies.

Ceasefire agreement and release of hostages

Israel announced that the humanitarian aid trucks will also go to the northern area of the Strip, even to places that have not been evacuated. The passage of these vehicles is part of the ceasefire and hostage release deal reached with the U.S. and mediated by Qatar and Egypt. According to the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT), dozens of trucks and six ambulances have been approved to go to this area.

Israeli troops meticulously checked the vehicles at the Nitzana border crossing with Egypt. After obtaining approval from the authorities, the trucks were able to head towards Rafah.

IDF reminds civilians of truce conditions

The army also reminded civilians in Gaza of the conditions of the truce to avoid misunderstandings that could interfere with the fragile agreement. They emphasized that civilians are banned from moving north of the Strip and from entering the sea. Civilians also have to stay at least one kilometer away from the Israeli border. However, they stressed that civilians are allowed to move south.
