Donald Trump will not take the stand again in the case against him for fraud in New York. To the relief of Judge Arthur Engoron, who was not able to control the former president in his prior appearance before the court, the tycoon announced via Truth Social, after the statements of the last defense witness: "I have already testified to everything and have nothing more to say other than that this is complete and total election interference (by the Biden campaign!) a witch hunt, that will do nothing but keep businesses out of New York, I will not be testifying on Monday."
Trump lists the "irregularities" surrounding the judge and the attorney general
Throughout four posts on the social network, Trump denounced a series of irregularities on the part of the judge and the attorney general of New York, Letitia James, with the sole purpose of ensuring that the former president is convicted :
They claimed that Mar-A-Lago was worth only $18,000,000, when it is worth 50 to 100 times that amount, in order to illegally reduce my values and make a false case against me. They did this on other properties, as well, and wouldn't give me a jury. Likewise, the A.G. thugs do not want to acknowledge that I have paid almost 300 million dollars in New York city and state taxes during the years in question. Importantly, I won at the Appellate Division, which effectively ended most of the case, but the biased judge refused to accept their order, an unheard of first!
Accuses James of making NY lose millions of dollars with his measures
The magnate also compared the witnesses presented by both parties. Faced with its "unassailable expert final witness," whose testimony was so "strong and irrefutable," in which he valued Mar-A-Lago at $1 billion, the prosecution relies on the statements of "sleazebag and disbarred former lawyer, Michael Cohen, who admitted in court to repeatly lying under oath. It was a total breakdown, a non-recoverable Perry Mason moment. That alone ends this Biden driven witch hunt. Election interference!"
In a latest post, Trump accused the Attorney General's Office of driving companies like ExxonMobil - and billions in taxes and jobs - out of the state with its actions.
