Transgender man arrested for planning Colorado school shooting

Authorities found a manifest with names and addresses he planned to target.

A 19-year-old man who identifies as transgender was arrested by Colorado Springs authorities for planning mass shootings at schools within District 20, one of the city's largest school districts.

The man, whose name is William Whitworth, goes by Lilly and is an alumnus of Timberview Middle School (District 20), one of the educational institutions he planned to attack.

Officials explained that he was arrested just days after a transgender terrorist killed six people inside a private Christian school in Nashville. His arrest came thanks to a family member who called police and told them of Whitworth's plans.

Authorities were able to find evidence inside the man's home including a manifesto that included names of people he planned to attack and indicated that in addition to schools he planned to attack churches. The suspect allegedly also researched how to 3D print firearms and how to make bombs.

According to reports, when officers went to Whitworth's home, he was lying in bed and appeared to be intoxicated with alcohol. His room was full of garbage and had several holes in the wall. When the officers spoke with him, they asked him if he planned to carry out a school shooting and the young man nodded his head and made suicidal statements.

The man is now being formally charged with: two counts of attempted first-degree murder, menacing, interfering with staff, faculty or students of educational institutions and criminal mischief. The man is currently being held in the Elbert County Jail on $75,000 bail.

The Nashville Massacre

Late last month a woman who was also transgender (she identified as male), attacked a Christian elementary school where she had formerly attended and killed six people. Police also found a manifest.
