The Eagles announce their farewell tour

“The Long Goodbye” tour already has its first confirmed dates.

The Eagles, one of the most successful bands in history, has announced the start of its final tour “The Long Goodbye,” for which it has released the first 13 dates. After 52 years, more than 150 million records sold and more than 1000 concerts, the band formed in Los Angeles will begin the tour on Sept. 7 in New York as  they say goodbye to their fans for the final time.

The band first broke up in 1980, reuniting in 1994 and playing until 2016, when vocalist and founder Glenn Frey died. Since 2017, they had been inactive until this latest announcement.

The band has hits such as the international hit “Hotel California,” “One of These Nights,”  “Desperado,”Tequilla Sunrise,” “New Kid in Town,” “Take It Easy,” “Take It To The Limit” and “Heartache Tonight,” among others.

According to the announcement, the Eagles, comprised of Don Henley, Joe Walsh and Timothy B. Schmit, with Vince Gill and Deacon Frey, will play “as many shows in each market as their audiences demand.” The tour is expected to continue until 2025.

Pre-sale tickets and VIP packages will be available starting Wednesday, July 12, for all announced concerts. General sales will begin on Friday, July 14, at 10 a.m.
